2020 Communications Trust

Living Heritage was initiated by the 2020 Communications Trust as part of its commitment to promoting creativity, challenge, innovation in ICT, lifelong learning, and learning opportunities for all participants.

 

CWA New Media

CWA New Media is a New Zealand multi media company known for producing award-winning teaching/learning materials and resources. CWA provides the team which manages the projects daily operation and development.

CWA also:

  • administers the Living Heritage project;
  • updates the website;
  • provides schools with templates for web publishing;
  • provides support to schools.

The National Library of New Zealand

The National Library provided the seed funding for Living Heritage.

It also:

  • houses and administers the SunSITE computer;
  • helps maintain the Living Heritage website;
  • assists schools in their research.

The New Zealand Historic Places Trust Pouhere Taonga (NZHPT) supports, and assists schools with information and news about our national historic heritage.

New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO

New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO recognises the achievements of schools and provides a funding grant to the 2020 Communications Trust to implement the Living Heritage Awards.

SLANZA

The School Library Association, New Zealand (SLANZA) advises, supports, and assists in networking with schools.

Te Ara - The Encyclopedia of New Zealand

Te Ara - The Encyclopedia of New Zealand is a source of information for schools, and has links to Living Heritage school stories within the Further Sources sections of relevant entries on the website.

Te Rōpū Whakahau

This is the Māori Library and Information Workers Association, which advises and supports.

Public libraries

The public libraries are a source of information for schools, and may be able to assist in research. Wellington City Libraries have a special connection with Living Heritage, assisting in promotion and supporting related events.
