Three cheers for Campbells Bay Primary

Campbells Bay students with librarian Sharon Purchase

The students were praised for their work by librarian Sharon Purchase.

On 6 December 2001 Campbells Bay Primary School in Auckland celebrated the launch of its three Living Heritage websites.

The event was attended by the students involved, their parents, the principal and teachers, the Living Heritage Coordinator, Council staff, the North Shore City mayor, and others who had helped them with the projects.

North Shore City Mayor George Wood spoke to the students about the environment and value of recycling.

It was obvious that everybody, including the students, was proud of what they had achieved. Each student spoke about what they had done, or something they had learned.

Having a site launch is a great way of recognising the work of students and teachers, and an opportunity to thank those involved.
