Kids for Kids concerts
The Kids for Kids concerts are going on most of the year in different parts of New Zealand.
All schools in the area are contacted and invited to be part of the event. Then if they want to join in, they are sent the manual and music, and the school teacher teaches the choir.
For a school to join, they need time and commitment. The materials are free. There is a ticket charge for the audience of usually around $12. This covers the cost of Suzanne Prentice's time, sound equipment, tiered seating and staff. There are also lots of volunteers who donate their time as well!!
The concert is organised by Russell Johnson who is the manager. He sorts out venues and dates, and works with Suzanne Prentice. And Don Lord organises all the mail to schools, and works with them with the CDs and manuals.
