InterviewHow did you get involved? How many moves are there? What's your favorite move? How many people have you taught? What's your partner's name? Are children allowed to join? Do you have any favorite songs to dance to? When you perform, do you have to wear any special clothing? Do you enjoy dancing? What time, where, when and how often do you practice?

AnswersFor our website, we have been talking to Viv Melton. She told us that a friend introduced her to rock 'n' roll about five years ago. She learned for a very long time then took some time off before continuing with her learning. There are all sorts of places, like Timaru, where she learned more moves from a different person. This year at O.I.S for Stage Rage there are eight pupils doing rock 'n' roll, using moves that Viv Melton taught them last year. There are certain clothes you have to wear that go with the dance. You can go to the R.S.A hall to learn rock 'n' roll. It cost $10 a year, and $1 each club night. The club night is on each second Friday night at 7.30. (That's if you are interested!) Did you know that there are other places where they do rock 'n' roll? Some are Dunedin, Timaru, Cromwell, Geraldine and Nasby. They are run by corresponding clubs. Lots of young people do rock 'n' roll, but old people can do it too. Mrs Melton told us that it was for all ages.
