Coach: Peter Cook

This is the North Otago Rugby logo.

Peter Cook at work.

What we found out:

Peter Cook started coaching North Otago Rugby in 1998, but he started coaching rugby in 1995.

At a typical trainning season, Peter Cook would make sure the players got to practise 20 minutes early so they could see the physio. Then they would warm up and use the rest of the practise either practising things they were good at in their last game or practising things that needed improvement.

To be able to coach rugby well, Peter Cook thinks you need to be able to relate well with the players and make sure they have fun.

Peter Cook thinks there should be more money in North Otago Rugby, so that the people working for North Otago Rugby get paid more.

As the players began to win more games, more people, especially children, were coming to the games. They really liked children coming to the games they played.
