Session 1: Plan Class will have previously looked at the Living Heritage Site. Talk about North Otago Rugby team last year. Who was there? What did you do there? What was it like? Does anyone know any of the players or anyone involved? Explain that we will be creating a resource for the Living Heritage site. Questions: What do we already know (using inspiration)? What information could we include? What information do we need? What questions do we need to ask? Select topics to include. Select groups and allocate tasks to each group. Appoint a diarist. |

Session 2: Explore Review list of information we need to gather. Ensure each group has a list. Groups then formulate the questions that they will need to ask to get the information. Who will know the answers to these questions? Where will we find them? How will we record the answers? Each group to allocate jobs and practice. Go out and do interviews or collect information from library. Ensure permission slips are on hand and students know why they are using them and what they have to do. Groups report to diarist. |

Session 3: Use & Choose Check and collect permission forms. Also check and collect any copyright on paper resources. Groups look at research questions and check what information is useful and discard the rest. Report information to class and compare this with research brief. Groups report to diarist. |

Session 4: Create Draft what the whole project will look like after studying existing ones. Give each group their part to plan on rough paper. Present their plan to the class. Keep refining and editing until general agreement is reached and it is ready to publish. Report to diarist. Evaluate existing web pages using criteria provided. |

Session 5: Share To learn to use FrontPage. From class photo, make a hot spot on each child with this linking to some "goss" about them written by an interviewer. Instructions for using FrontPage are on 'T' Drive. Use these. Start entering project on front page graphics first, then in text boxes. Decorate and fancy up pages. Check and double check for understanding and edit writing thoroughly. Put in links. Copyright. Check Living Heritage criteria from folder. Report to diarist. Send copy to NORFU. |

Session 6: Review Student evaluation: Living Heritage. Did you achieve what you wanted to? Did you use a range of resources? What would you do differently next time? What do other people think of your project? Do you need to make additions or alterations? Did you answer your research questions? Have you made all the necessary acknowledgments? Who do you need to thank for their help? Students fill in evaluation questionnaire (enclosed). Also assessment rubric. What we did well………. We know this because………. Next time we would improve the way we did this by………. What we learnt about North Otago Rugby and websites. Have an evening with parents invited to launch the sites. Write thank you letters. |
