Managing Irrigation

Irrigation can be managed effectively by:
  • Fencing our waterways so stock cannot foul the streams and break down the stream edges.
  • Retaining rather than draining or wetland areas.  The wetland areas act as a sponge that cleans the excess fertilisers/sediments and faeces from the run off and releases clean water slowly.
