The Honeymoon Pool, also known as Te Kiri o Hinekai (meaning 'food for the skin of a girl'), is a healing pool. This beautiful pool is a treasure to the local people. It is set in the grounds of Wairakei Terraces, just north of Taupo, right beside the Wairakei geothermal field. The Year 6 ICT extension group of Wairakei Primary School have been researching the pool. |
