Today, Te Kiri o Hinekai sparkles in the middle of lawns, gardens and bushes. There are paths to follow, and the surroundings of the pool have been planted with native plants that will soon grow and cover all the banks. The special, warm waters of the pool are clear and bright and have healing minerals in them. Many people use the pool, but you're not allowed to use it just whenever you want in case people vandalize the pool. It is free for people with an illness and elders of the community.
