The Process

  1. Before we began to learn about The Railway we learnt about FrontPage.  We had fun creating tables and hyperlinks.  We wrote clues about ourselves and took photos of each other on the digital camera.  We put our work onto our school intranet.
  2. We were put into groups and wrote questions to find out about the railway.
  3. We looked in books for information and took more notice of the area around us.  We really liked looking at pictures of things the way they were "in the old days".
  4. We finalised the questions we wanted to ask, and sent our letters away.  We couldn't wait for our letters to come back!
  5. Now it was time to organise our information.  Each group decided how their web-page would look once it was published.  Every group did a draft copy on a big piece of cartridge paper.
  6. Now it was time to insert tables, type, scan pictures, take photos and make our page look 'just right'.
  7. Finally we connected all our pages together with hyperlinks and made the finishing touches to our work.
  8. Last of all we burnt our work to CD and posted it away!
