We stopped using the railway line in 1959 when the line closed.

The people who worked at the flour mill started at 6.30am and finish at 4.30pm.

We sent one or two truck loads a week of flour from Ngapara to Oamaru for delivery to our customers around New Zealand.

We continue to use  the railway to transport our flour to the North Island.

Lori's great grandpop, Mr.Cyril Lory, used to work at the mill.
