Learning Outcomes

Our goals for this project:

• To learn about a pepeha
• To create a pepeha for Owairaka School
• To share the pepeha with the school and the wider community
• To respect our Māori people and their indigenous language, Te Reo Māori
• To help maintain and sustain the history of Wairaka in our school

In our school we will:

Pronounce each word correctly

Teach all the classes the pepeha and the stories behind each line/part

Make the pepeha a part of our everyday routine

Keep talking about our history (school) and Wairaka
