The School Classrooms by Room 5

First we looked at past and present photos of the school buildings, especially the classrooms. We wrote down things that were different and things that were the same. We learned that the first classroom was built in 1878.

Then we went outside and did a pencil sketch of either Room 7, Room 8, Room 9 or Room 10 as these classrooms are the newest part of the school. These classrooms were built in 1996.

Next we went to the senior school area and did a pencil sketch of Room 17 which is one of the oldest parts of the school. These classrooms were built between 1926 and 1935.

After that we went for a walk through the Senior Block, looking at the windows and cloak bays. We found that the windows in Room 17 were a different design from those in Rooms 7, 8, 9 and 10. Room 17's windows had lots of small panels.
