Hart's Creek

Harts Creek is a contributing creek to Lake Waihora and naturally we had to cover it. At the bottom of this page is a graphabout how healthy it is. It is a healthy creek but some of the rivers flowing into Waihora aren't.When we were there we looked at the lake and the health of the creek and the bugs in it. This is what we found out:

It has a good average temperature of about 12 degrees celsius. It's algae levels are perfect and it has excellent clarity.

This stream is so healthy because farmers up and down it are now caring for it and making sure their cattle and deer and livestock can't contaminate the stream.

Leeston survey

We have been researching lake Waihora/Lake Ellesmere and our group decided to look at the health of the lake.We went to Leeston and surveyed some people.This is what we found out.

We found that most of the people think the lake is healthy, and that some of the problems concerning the lake should be fixed, so then it will be cleaner and more enjoyable for people so why don't we start fixing the problems?
