Northland School

Northland School Centennial

Research Process

We began researching our project in the school archives. We found old records, photographs, documents, drawings and maps. We identified things that we wanted to know more about and developed questions. We talked to parents, teachers and friends to gather information. We interviewed some older people who had been involved with the school many years ago. They gave us important information from the past and helped answer many of our questions. We used the school histories written for the 50th and 75th reunions and the new centenary book for background information about the school. We found photos at school and from the Alexander Turnbull Library.
