Campbell's Bay was named after an old woman called Mrs. Campbell. Everybody liked her because she was very good to the community. She cleaned the school, she washed for those who required her services and was at times a midwife and children's nurse. When she died the community wanted to remember her because she was a very kind lady and they didn't want to forget her so they named a beach after her!
