The class took to their feet and explored the local township, sketching landmarks of interest. Students had some knowledge of these landmarks themselves and read up on them from books on the local area in our library and from resources at home - books, newspapers, parent knowledge and memory.
We had lessons on using the digital camera and took turns at taking photos. We had to write letters to all owners and interested parties to get permission to publish the photos and material on the Internet. In this way our information was verified and we were able to make our information more accurate.
