The building was not always a museum, it was used for a lot of other things.

The building was made out of limestone blocks.

The building was made out of limestone because if they wanted to build it out of wood they would have to go to Oamaru or Timaru to get the wood, because at that time they did not have any trees near Kurow.

The building's ceiling was made out of a special wood.

The building once was used for dances because girls were not allowed in the pub next door.

The floor is made out of a springy wood to help people dance when there were dances in the building.

The building was once a lodge for the Royal Association of Buffalos.

The building was once a Café and was called the Buffalo Café.

At one time two families used to live in the building and use it as a house.

The building used to be used as a movie cinema and it had a big projector.

The building used to be used as a bank.

The museum has had an office built onto it.

Unlike the rest of the museum the office doesn't have any displays.

There are lots of cool things to look at inside, and many of them are very old.

There was soldier stuff and grenades.

There are stuffed animals on display.

There was a giant fishing rod and fish.

There is a tiger machine that pokes its tongue out.

There were lots of old beautiful dresses at the entrance.
