Research process

As a group we planned the best way to gather information about traditional games played in different countries around the world.

We decided that the best tool to use to gather the information to create this story was to conduct an interview. We thought about what questions would give us the information we needed.

The group members selected somebody in their family and interviewed them using the following framework of questions.

What was a game that you played as a child in the country where you grew up?

Who played the game?

Where did you play it?

What equipment did you need?

How did you play the game?

If these questions didn't give all the necessary information, other questions were created and another short interview conducted.

The background information about the country of origin was a combination of checking facts in books, websites and the prior knowledge of the students.
