The War Bunker
By Jordan & Michael

The war bunker is on the beach along from Beach Road. It was never used except for practices.

It is round and made of concrete and wood.

It had a roof.

Up on Cape Wanbrow there is a very big gun. To get from the big gun to this pill box there were trenches.

There is a hole for a machine gun to fire out. It is called a pill box. It was made in World War 2 to keep the Japanese soldiers away.

Three New Zealand soldiers fitted in the pill box.

1 person pulled the trigger and the others fed bullets in the machine gun.

The machine gun was either a Lewis or Vickers Machine Gun with 303 cartridges.
